Kilkeel, Northern Ireland

Kilkeel (from the Irish: Cill Chaoil meaning "church of the narrow place") is a small fishing community Southeast of Belfast in County Down, Northern Ireland. It has a very active harbour, home to the largest fishing fleet of the region. The town has a relatively small population of around 6,500. The town is surrounded by the Mountains of Mourne. It also contains the ruins of a 14th century church at its centre.

Visiting

I highly recommend the Kilmorey Arms Hotel, located in the heart of Kilkeel. The hotel is located across the street from the Presbyterian Church and graveyard.
